After meeting with seniors that plan to attend KCC, they have provided GPHS with a link in which to complete the application process.  Reminder to students, everything (application, essay, letters of recommendation) MUST come in at the same time to KCC.  Applications will not be eligible if it is separated.  The link is as follows:

(2) $500.           Scholarship opportunity for seniors.  Award based on the following criteria:  demonstrate interest and participation in serving the youth of his/her community, have a “B” grade point average (3.0), demonstrate leadership qualities and has a plan to pursue a major in one of the following fields:  social work, counseling, psychology, youth recreation, youth prevention or sociology.  Applications are available in the main office.

$1,000.        Scholarship available to a high school senior who will attend college and major in an art related field.  Photos of art work will also have to be submitted with the application.  Applications and further details are available in the office.

Available to a high school senior applying to the Paul Mitchell School of Cosmetology in BRADLEY.   Application, essay and recommendation letter are required.  Applications are available in the main office.

$1,000.         Scholarship available for students going to either KCC, Olivet Nazarene University or University of Notre Dame.  Contact the colleges’ financial aid offices to apply.

(4) $500.        Available to seniors in Kankakee County that are enrolling in a science, math or related technology field in college.  Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.  Applications are available in the main office.

Apprenticeship Opportunity – Construction Craft Laborer

Applications accepted the 1st Tuesday during the month of April at the Kankakee union hall location.  Interested students should stop in the main office for more information.

$200-$250.       Accounting scholarship offered.  Seniors must have acceptance at a 4-year college or university majoring in accounting.  Student must also prove academic achievments, character, citizenship and leadership qualities.  Applications are available in the main office.

(8) $1,000.        Awarded to 8 deserving seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to school and community.  Must plan on attending KCC or Olivet this fall.  Applications available in the main office.
