Reading-read/finish chapters 16-18 and continue predicting worksheet
Language Arts-continue typing research paper in lab. Paper is due on Friday, May 10th. Students should have paper written. Tomorrow we will work on works cited formatting and they should print papers to edit at home.

Reading- today, the students had an entrance card in which they had to explain several happenings from chapters 13-15. Tomorrow they will have a literary device quiz covering allusion, irony, alliteration, foreshadowing, flashback, simile, metaphor, and personification. by Wednesday, they should read chapters 16-18 and continue to do the prediction sheet
Language Arts- we discussed conclusions and then they had time to type the research papers that are due Friday, May 10th. ABC projects are due Friday, May 17th.

Reading–by Monday, students should read chapters 13-15. A cause and effect handout should also be completed. (Entrance card Monday)
Language Arts- students typed their introductions and outlines in the computer lab. They should keep writing their body paragraphs on their own. We will discuss conclusions on Monday

Reading–No homework for tonight specifically. By Monday, they need to read chapters 13-15 and complete the handout about cause and effect. They will be given some class time to read and work. The students are very busy right now, so they need to do the work within a couple of days.
Language Arts-We began typing the research papers today. Since it was a shortened schedule, they really just did the formatting and the introduction. Tomorrow, we will continue typing. Students should continue writing, as we will continue to type tomorrow and begining of next week. Papers are due on Friday, May 10th.

Reading- Read chapter 12 and do vocabulary work. If generalization paper wasn’t finished in class, finish for homework as well.
Language Arts–students worked on ABC projects in the computer lab. Tomorrow we begin typing outlines, introductions, and first body paragraph. Continue to work on body paragraphs 3 & 4 at home or in tutorial. We will discuss conclusions next week.  Papers are due May 10th!  ABC projects due May 17th

Reading- We read Chapter 11 in class and did a 3-2-1 strategy for reading. 3 examples of foreshadowing, 2 connections to the text, and 1 lesson or example of mood. NO HOMEWORK IF FINISHED IN CLASS
Language Arts- peer edited introductions (that were supposed to be finished before class) and students worked on body paragraph 1 if they were finished with introductions. They need to be working on body paragraphs outside of class now. We are beginning to type the papers on Wednesday. Tomorrow they are in the computer lab for ABC projects. Due dates are rapidly approaching!

Reading–we discussed chapter 9 and the students were to do a “during reading” activity while I read Chapter 10 to them. They should finish the last part of the activity which is a summary of the last 7 pages using 25-30 words only.
Language Arts- We worked on adding variety to their writing by using transitions, different sentence structure, and exciting words. Outlines were due today. They should have their introductions hand-written by Monday and body paragraph #1 completed by the end of class. We will by typing ABC projects on Tuesday. The rest of the week will be reserved for typing the research essay. Work outside of class will be required.

Language Arts- went to computer lab for ABC projects. OUTLINES DUE TOMORROW! Follow format in packet!

Reading-students did an entrance card for Chapter 6; discussed plot events from chapter; began reading chapter 7 in class–students need to finish for HOMEWORK.
Language Arts- outlines due Friday–Follow form given. Students should be working on introduction writing and paragraph construction this week. We will begin typing papers next week on Wednesday. We are working on ABC projects tomorrow in the lab.

Language Arts- work on outline–due Friday–follow format in packet. Try to finish introduction (3 approach steps, thesis statement, and method statement.
