3rd Hour-Health Education

The Health Education Class has begun participating in Class Action.  Class Action is the final step in the Life Education Program offered through the Iroquois-Kankakee Regional Office of Education- that educates our students about the effects of alcohol on our lives and the lives of others.  The students will be working in small groups every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the month of December to prepare their presentations that will take place in January.

3rd Hour-Health Education

November 28th, 2012

We completed the Health Education Chapter on Illegal Drugs before the Thanksgiving Break.  We are know covering the Tobacco Chapter.  The students will be tested on this information on Friday, November 30th, 2012.

1st Hour/4th Hour-Physical Education

November 28th, 2012

We are finishing up the Volleyball Unit in Physical Education and will be testing Tuesday, November 27th-Wednesday, November 28th, 2012.  During the month of December, we will be focusing on the Basketball Unit.

3rd Hour-Health Education-Sex Education

7th,8th,9th Hours-Middle School Physical Education

November 7th, 2012

The Middle School are currently participating in two different units.  On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays in the month of November they will be focusing on the Basketball Unit.  The Basketball Unit includes practicing the basic fundamentals of passing, dribbling, and shooting.  On Wednesdays and Fridays, the students will be playing a game called SkyBall.  Skyball is a game that combines soccer skills, basketball skills, and even football skills.

Group ONE will present on October 22nd, 2012. Chapter Test will be given on October 24th, 2012.

Group TWO will present on October 25th, 2012. Chapter Test will be given on October 29th, 2012.

During the month of November, the Physical Education classes are participating in a Volleyball Unit. The students have the opportunity to learn and utilize the proper fundamentals every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Open Gym and Weight Room time is offered on Wednesday and Friday.

We are now beginning the Soccer Unit. Our hopes are that within the next 2-3 weeks we will be able to continue this unit outside. Let’s hope that the weather cooperates with us!! :)
